About Me

“Information technology is at the core of how you do your business and how your business model itself evolves.” – Satya Nadella

Technology has always been more than a job path for me—it’s been a constant curiosity. That curiosity led me through a diploma in IT (with honours) and into a career that’s had me hands-on with infrastructure, systems, and network environments. Over the years, I’ve built a solid foundation in the areas that quietly keep everything running—and increasingly, in the areas that keep everything secure.

My background includes:

  • Endpoint Management & Basic Hardening
Provided hands-on support for desktops and laptops, ensuring system stability and reducing attack surface through proper configuration, patching, and user education.
  • Windows Server Administration
Experience with managing Active Directory, user access controls, and group policy—laying the groundwork for identity and privilege management in a secure environment.
  • Linux Systems & Shell Scripting
Daily use of Linux across servers and personal projects, with a focus on automation (Bash, cron jobs) and maintaining secure configurations. Comfortable working in terminal-based environments.
  • Secure Network Operations
Setup and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN configurations, VLANs, and basic firewall rules. Familiar with common ports, protocols, and how network layout impacts security posture.
  • Automation & Scripting for Consistency
Built PowerShell and Bash scripts to streamline tasks, enforce consistency across systems, and reduce human error—important foundations for secure system administration.
  • Virtualization & Isolated Environments
Used Proxmox to manage virtual machines for experimentation, testing, and learning. Often spin up VMs to replicate network environments and security scenarios.

Lately, my focus has shifted toward cybersecurity. I’ve been spending more of my free time working through Hack The Box Academy content, refining my homelab setups to simulate attacks and defenses, and generally trying to think more like a threat actor—so I can build better defenses.

I’m currently exploring opportunities in security—from SOC analyst roles to information security or GRC positions—with an eye toward eventually moving into offensive security. I’m open, curious, and always learning.
